Run with the Colors ~ 5K Memorial Run/Walk

This is the kick off event for a day of Remembrance at the Currituck Family YMCA. Their team has composed a day of fitness, ceremony and respect in order to remind everyone what Memorial Day is really about.

This is an informal 5K to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen... and to respect the many long distances they've traveled on foot to face the enemy.

Grab the stars and stripes and join us as we take some time to remember what "Memorial Day Weekend" is all about. Let's honor those who sacrificed everything for our Freedom - and let's show their Gold Star Families that we have not forgotten them.

All Ages Welcome.
There will be NO time clock for this event.
This is NOT a race.
Participate at your own risk.

  1. I live in Currituck and I am very impressed with your blog. It is sometimes hard to find things to do in our little town since it's so small. I also have a blog hosted by Blogger if you want to check it out. It's not similar to this one but support from fellow Currituck citizens is always nice. The URL is http://buildingrubble.blogspot.com
